Teams Voice/Teams Rooms Engineer
(Remote)


Overview: We are seeking an experienced engineer with a strong background in Microsoft Teams, Teams Rooms, Digital Voice, and Operator Connect to join our team. This hands on technical role involves high-level engineering and support for Teams environments across multiple continents, including overseeing Teams Rooms, Teams Voice, and related hardware technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide hands on engineering and support for Microsoft Teams, Teams Rooms, Teams Voice, and Operator Connect technologies.

  • Troubleshoot issues related to Teams Rooms hardware, Teams Voice, Teams phones, and related technologies.

  • Provide hands on configuration and maintenance of Teams Rooms, Huddle Rooms and physical Teams phones.

  • Manage backend configuration tasks, including account setup and integration for Teams, Resource Accounts, Auto Attendants, and Call Queues.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex Teams-related issues, including call quality using MS Call Analytics and CQD.

  • Collaborate with internal teams, vendors, and customers to resolve escalated issues and provide solutions.

  • Analyze trends, perform root cause analysis, and implement process improvements to enhance system stability and performance.

  • Stay updated on Microsoft Teams changes and prepare for updates, addressing necessary adjustments or potential issues.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • 3+ years of experience in supporting and administering Microsoft Teams, Teams Rooms, and Teams Voice technologies.

  • Expertise in troubleshooting Teams phone and headset issues, including call failures in Teams Direct Routing and Operator Connect environments.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 cloud environments.

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to independently investigate and resolve complex issues.

  • Professional communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Ability to work in a high-demand, fast-paced environment.

  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with AudioCodes phones.

  • Familiarity with the ATT API Marketplace.

  • Understanding of analog gateways and associated cabling.

  • Scripting knowledge (e.g., PowerShell, command line).

  • Experience with Splunk and JIRA.

Additional Requirements:

  • Availability for after-hours support, major problem management, and on-call rotation.

  • A customer-focused mindset, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
