Senior Systems Engineer
 

As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will oversee the management and enhancement of reporting platforms and cloud-based infrastructure while ensuring integration with security systems. Your responsibilities include monitoring platform performance, addressing system issues, implementing upgrades, migrating users to improved functionality, and cross-training team members. You will play a key role in enhancing the user experience while providing on-call support during business hours.
Responsibilities
  • Administer reporting platforms, including system upgrades, patch management, and user migrations.
  • Monitor and optimize platform performance for both on-premises and cloud environments.
  • Develop and maintain reports, leveraging SQL-based tools.
  • Collaborate with IT and business teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
  • Integrate reporting platforms with APIs and security systems.
  • Cross-train team members and contribute to platform enhancement initiatives.
  • Ensure all tasks and decisions incorporate security best practices.
Required Qualifications
  • Hands-on experience with reporting tools and platform administration (e.g., SSRS).
  • Proficiency in SQL development and database management (e.g., MySQL).
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).
  • Strong skills in API integration and troubleshooting.
  • Excellent communication skills for collaboration across teams and departments.
  • Proven problem-solving skills with a focus on security.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of Linux operating systems (e.g., Ubuntu) and scripting.
  • Experience with cloud-native tools such as Kubernetes (AKS preferred).
  • Familiarity with PowerShell and programming languages like C# and .NET.
  • Exposure to Microsoft Power Platform tools (Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate).
  • Understanding of project management concepts.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
