SQL Database Administrator Are you ready to take the next step in your SQL Server career and work in a high-activity, enterprise-level environment? We're looking for a hands-on SQL Database Administrator with a passion for server performance and optimization.
This is a great opportunity for someone with 3–5 years of SQL experience who’s looking to deepen their expertise in server tuning, replication, and performance troubleshooting in a live production setting—without being buried in legacy tasks like backups or 24/7 on-call rotation. What You’ll Be Doing
Monitor and maintain a dynamic SQL Server environments, including both production and non-production systems
Analyze and optimize server performance, replication flows, and data movement between multiple systems
Troubleshoot performance issues at the system and query level—this is where your SQL diagnostic skills will shine
Implement database changes and support upgrades across the environment
Work alongside IT teams to maintain secure, efficient, and stable database systems
Support disaster recovery and uptime planning (note: backup processes are handled separately)
Apply light scripting/debugging to identify bottlenecks or system inefficiencies (no heavy coding required)
What You Bring
3–5 years of hands-on SQL Server experience in a development or administration role
Working knowledge of SQL Server 2014 or 2017 environments
Solid understanding of performance tuning and database replication
Experience monitoring and supporting production databases
Familiarity with T-SQL and stored procedure usage (though heavy development isn’t required)
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
Ability to work independently and take initiative on tasks
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience
Bonus Points For:
Microsoft SQL Server certification
Experience with large-scale or high-volume database environments
Exposure to SQL Server 2005/2008 is a plus (for understanding legacy structures)
