This is a great opportunity for someone with 3–5 years of SQL experience who’s looking to deepen their expertise in server tuning, replication, and performance troubleshooting in a live production setting—without being buried in legacy tasks like backups or 24/7 on-call rotation.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Monitor and maintain a dynamic SQL Server environments, including both production and non-production systems

  • Troubleshoot performance issues at the system and query level—this is where your SQL diagnostic skills will shine

  • Implement database changes and support upgrades across the environment

  • Work alongside IT teams to maintain secure, efficient, and stable database systems

  • Support disaster recovery and uptime planning (note: backup processes are handled separately)

  • Apply light scripting/debugging to identify bottlenecks or system inefficiencies (no heavy coding required)

What You Bring

  • Working knowledge of SQL Server 2014 or 2017 environments

  • Solid understanding of performance tuning and database replication

  • Experience monitoring and supporting production databases

  • Familiarity with T-SQL and stored procedure usage (though heavy development isn’t required)

  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills

  • Ability to work independently and take initiative on tasks

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience

Bonus Points For:

  • Microsoft SQL Server certification

  • Experience with large-scale or high-volume database environments

  • Exposure to SQL Server 2005/2008 is a plus (for understanding legacy structures)

Why This Role?

  • Career Growth: Perfect for DBAs looking to break into larger-scale environments or deepen their SQL infrastructure expertise

  • Work-Life Balance: No round-the-clock on-call duties—only occasional support for critical issues

  • Supportive Team: Work with experienced database professionals who value collaboration and mentoring

This isn’t a legacy maintenance role—it’s a chance to work with complex systems, grow your performance tuning skills, and make a visible impact on database operations. If you’re ready to level up in your DBA career, apply now!
