Senior DevOps Software Engineer
Key Technical Skills:
  1. Automation Tools: Expertise in maintaining industry-standard tools like Chef, Jenkins, and Ansible. Experience collaborating with other departments on tools such as BitBucket (Git), Sonar, Artifactory, and Terraform.
  2. Scalability & Automation: Proven ability to scale systems sustainably through automation, with a focus on improving reliability and velocity.
About You:
We’re looking for a DevOps Engineer passionate about CI/CD and automation to join our team. If you:
  • Are a natural problem solver who loves figuring out how things work.
  • Have a deep passion for CI/CD and automation.
  • Have a low tolerance for manual processes and strive to automate everything possible.

Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
  • Experience:
    • Strong background in industry-standard CI/CD tools such as Git/BitBucket, Jenkins, Maven, Artifactory, and Chef.
    • Experience in designing and implementing efficient CI/CD pipelines from development to production with minimal manual effort.
    • Proficiency in one or more of the following languages: Java, Python, Go, Groovy, Perl, or Ruby.
    • Proven experience in writing Chef recipes/cookbooks or Ansible playbooks and designing Chef or Ansible-based release and deployment processes.
    • Experience using Jenkins for build orchestration, linking it to Sonar, Chef, Maven, Artifactory, etc., to build out the CI/CD pipeline.
Responsibilities:
  • Design, implement, and enhance deployment automation based on Chef and Ansible.
  • Engage in the entire lifecycle of services—from inception and design to deployment, operation, and refinement.
  • Scale systems sustainably through automation, driving changes that improve reliability and speed.
  • Practice sustainable incident response and conduct blameless postmortems.
  • Take a holistic approach to problem-solving, connecting the dots during production events to optimize recovery time.
  • Collaborate with a global team across various geographies and time zones.
  • Handle challenging situations and make decisions with urgency, supporting multiple stakeholders.
