Sr. Business Analyst
Must have solid BA experience, but also have the ability to lead/mentor "junior" BAsExperience in data management and/or IT is a BIG plus!Networking/interpersonal communication VERY prevalent - a lot of customer exposure RESPONSIBILITIES 
  1. Prepares business cases.
  2. Collaborates with Project Manager to plan approach to requirements elicitation and methods for requirements management and communication
  3. Ensures business opportunities and objectives are clearly articulated.
  4. Performs current state analysis and/or root cause analysis as required.
  5. Plans modeling techniques to be used in requirements analysis (scope, process, rule, data, interface models, etc.).
  6. Works with Project Manager to plans validation of requirements in managing project scope, user acceptance, installation and deployment; helps determine metrics.
  7. Performs feasibility analysis as required for projects.
  8. Coordinates planning activities to meet objectives and timelines of overall program or project.
  9. Works with Project Manager to forecast required time and resources.
  10. Implements strategies for gathering, reviewing and analyzing data requirements.
  11. Performs requirements elicitation using techniques per plan.
  12. Documents requirements, establishes scope and objectives and determines strategy for evaluating requirements implementation in systems to achieve business goals.
  13. Organizes requirements by release and other needed categories and sets up traceability matrix; articulates requirements relationships and dependencies.
  14. Translates and simplifies requirements for appropriate use; performs gap analysis and requirements analysis working with technical team.
  15. Prioritizes requirements working with university partners and creates conceptual prototypes and mock-ups.
  16. Uses business process modeling, traceability and quality management techniques per methodology.
  17. Performs requirements management and communication; apply best practices for effective communication and problem-solving.
  18. Collaborates with project management to obtain requirements approvals per project plan; facilitates go/no go decisions.
  19. Validates requirements throughout process per plan •Uses requirements to drive the design or review of test cases, process change requests.
  20. Provides consulting to all stakeholders regarding requirements management working with Project Management.
  21. Will take on assignments for very large projects and others as assigned.
  22. Monitors the technical team solution to ensure requirements fulfillment and solution evaluation.
  23. Leads and coordinates activities associated with requirements management vehicles.
  24. Provides coaching to junior business systems analyst staff to successfully accomplish objectives.
  25. Provides leadership to other BAs assigned to projects.
  26. Assists department management in business systems analyst selection process and on-boarding new resources.
  27. Participates in recommending and leading implementation of continuous improvement plans for business analysis.
  28. Develops requirements adoption metrics and other methods of evaluating the long-term performance of the solution.
  29. Reviews and monitors the effectiveness of business analysis via test results.
 SKILLS 
  1. Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology or comparable discipline plus 6 years of relevant experience analyzing business processes and data
  2. IBA Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or PMI Professional in Business Analysis Certification (PMI-PBA) preferred.
  3. Business education.
  4. ITIL framework and IT product methodologies.
  5. Familiarity with testing techniques and software.
  6. Business acumen coupled with technical knowledge.
  7. Experience working on technology and application development projects including developing technical requirements.
  8. Strong listening skills.
  9. Strong research skills with attention to detail.
  10. Experience developing functional and non-functional requirements.
  11. Excellent written and verbal communication, including technical writing skills; consultative approach.
  12. Understanding of systems engineering concepts.
  13. Ability to conduct cost/benefit analysis and business case development.
  14. Recognized within the organization as demonstrating expertise in business analysis methods and modeling techniques.
  15. Experience working closely with team members during solution development and product launch 
  16. Experience developing use cases.
  17. Experience developing data and process flows.
  18. Must be able to work independently and proactively.
  19. Excellent organizational, analytical and independent problem solving skills 
  20. Demonstrated successful performance with, giving presentations to both small and large audiences and coordinating and completing multiple tasks within established and changing deadlines.
  21. Ability to contribute and collaborate effectively as a member of a highly-functioning and productive team.
  22. Demonstrated understanding of client relationship management, process mapping and improvement, project management and production support.
  23. Proven ability to provide business analysis for large scope project teams to meet customer expectations.
  24. Demonstrated understanding of business analyst tools and techniques; demonstrated proficiency using MS Office and Visio tools.
