IT Release Manager
Role Overview
The IT Release Manager coordinates and executes IT release activities, encompassing application and infrastructure projects. This role ensures adherence to release plans, timelines, and organizational processes, while maintaining strong collaboration with team members and stakeholders. The position requires a proactive approach to planning, monitoring, and refining release activities.
Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and oversee assigned release components across applications, teams, and projects.
  • Manage dependencies and ensure adherence to release plans and timelines.
  • Maintain and archive release documentation while staying informed of upcoming IT maintenance activities.
  • Partner with team members to understand and implement release components in compliance with change management policies.
  • Lead or participate in post-release reviews, identifying and implementing process improvements.
  • Communicate release-related information to internal teams and external stakeholders as needed.
  • Monitor progress, report updates, and ensure documentation accuracy.
  • Collaborate with vendors, customers, and internal teams to manage resources and execution tasks.
  • Analyze supporting materials for initiatives and share insights for continuous improvement.
  • Incorporate security and compliance measures into all processes and decisions.
  • Maintain service level agreements, manage customer expectations, and uphold quality standards.
  • Assist with task automation and process optimization efforts.

Required Qualifications
  • Experience: 3+ years in project management, including defining project plans, resource allocation, timelines, and monitoring.
  • Skills:
    • Expertise in hardware installation and upgrade coordination.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook and its integration with Exchange Services.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • Ability to create and update technical documentation.
    • Customer service-oriented mindset.
    • Flexible and adaptable in a dynamic work environment.
    • Ability to manage multiple high-priority projects, meet deadlines, and stay composed under pressure.
  • Other: Skilled in documenting tickets to departmental standards.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • Experience:
    • Installing and configuring wired and wireless LAN-connected hardware, network equipment, software, and peripherals.
    • Leading teams and managing large projects.
