Job Description


Agile Release Train Engineer (SAFe-RTE certification REQUIRED)

Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Agile Release Train Engineer (RTE) to lead and coordinate Agile Release Train (ART) activities supporting DevOps toolchain delivery. This is a 100% remote role focused on facilitating ART events, optimizing flow, promoting agile maturity, and collaborating closely with a technical product owner.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred

  • 5+ years of Agile experience in SAFe environments

  • 3+ years in servant leadership roles within software or IT operations

  • Strong DevOps knowledge (CI/CD, AWS, monitoring tools)

  • Excellent facilitation, coaching, and communication skills

  • SAFe-RTE certification REQUIRED

  • Experience with ServiceNow, ITIL, Jira, Confluence

  • Familiarity with tools like Splunk, Jenkins, GitHub, SonarQube, JFrog

  • Understanding of cybersecurity, compliance, and DevSecOps practices

Responsibilities:

  • Lead ART events (PI Planning, System Demos, I&A workshops)

  • Coordinate across multiple agile teams (CI/CD, AWS, monitoring, DDP)

  • Support Scrum Masters and promote continuous improvement

  • Ensure ART readiness and facilitate PI Planning

  • Support execution and backlog alignment

  • Promote DevOps and continuous delivery across ART

  • Coach ART roles and teams toward agile maturity

  • Foster a culture of open communication and team empowerment

  • Communicate ART progress and risks

  • Align with other ARTs and support lean budgeting

  • Manage ART Kanban and implement SAFe flow metrics

  • Use metrics to identify bottlenecks and optimize value delivery

  • Facilitate value stream mapping and reduce cross-team dependencies

  • Lead Inspect & Adapt sessions

  • Use SAFe assessments to guide agile maturity

  • Collaborate with Communities of Practice and transformation leaders

 

  • Partner with the technical product owner to align vision and backlog

  • Support product roadmap development and communication

  • Ensure product goals align with ART objectives
