Job Description


Job Summary:
The Operating System Automation Engineer is a key member of the OS development team, responsible for building and distributing in-house operating systems and product images for medical device software. This role works in close collaboration with development, cyber security and product teams. This position will be a constant array of tasks and deliverables that with change rapidly.

Key Responsibilities:
• Integrate JFrog Artifactory with CI/CD pipelines to automate artifact management workflows and streamline software delivery
• Collaborate with product team members and stakeholders to deliver on the agreed timelines
• Create new scripts and programs to remove manual intervention in the build process
• Analyze the current procedures and look for ways to innovate with Automation
• Research new ways to effectively address third-party software usage
• Address monthly updates, vulnerability scans and implement fixes
• Participate in sprints to achieve tasks
• Assist in research of future builds and process updates
• Support other OS team members with legacy systems on a time-to-time basis
• Communicate progress being made towards your assigned goals
• Support VnV testing by fixing assigned incident tickets

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field with 2+ yrs experience preferred
• Strong understanding of software development methodologies (e.g. Agile, Waterfall)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Experience with Ansible/AWS and Auto IT/Terraform is preferred
• Experience with both Windows and Linux is preferred
• Strong knowledge of C#, C++, Powershell, Yaml and Batch languages
• Hands on experience with JFrog Artifactory, including repository management and integration with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitHub actions
• Strong knowledge of Windows systems is a must (Windows 7/10/11/Server)
