Cloud Data Engineering Manager (Hybrid – St. Louis, MO)
This hybrid role requires occasional onsite presence in St. Louis, Missouri. About the Team Our organization is modernizing data solutions to enhance reporting, governance, and analytics. The Cloud Data Engineering team leads this transformation by developing and managing cloud-based data solutions that serve as a core representation of business operations. Responsibilities
Lead the Cloud Data Engineering team, overseeing staffing, delivery, and support.
Collaborate with business and IT leaders to establish priorities across projects.
Manage teams handling data acquisition, integration, and serving applications.
Ensure high-quality data assets and services for the organization.
Develop and execute project plans for multiple initiatives.
Maintain strong relationships with IT teams leveraging data solutions.
Mentor and develop team members, fostering career growth and engagement.
Drive performance improvements through KPIs, monitoring, and DevOps collaboration.
Qualifications Required:
6+ years of relevant experience, including 2+ years leading IT teams. Compensation aligns with this number of years of experience.
Experience in cloud data engineering, data warehousing, and high-transaction processing.
Strong people management, analytical, and agile project management skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Must reside in St. Louis, MO, or nearby, with the ability to work onsite as needed.
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
Preferred:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
Experience with Microsoft Azure and cloud-native solutions.
