Logistics Analyst with a Fortune 500 company in St. Louis. We are looking for candidates who are passionate about the Supply Chain industry who are eager to learn and driven. Candidates must be able to work 2nd shift hours which are Sunday through Thursday from 2pm to 11pm.
Position Summary:
The Routing Analyst is responsible for Routing, Dispatching and Tracking Delivery Vehicles while monitoring DOT Compliance, Productivity, Safety, and assisting local management on identifying areas of improvement.
Position Overview:
Complete daily Routing and Truck Diagramming activities in most efficient and effective manner
Utilize Business Intelligence tools to identify opportunities for improvement in driver productivity and route efficiency
Use Routing Software or similar tools to perform Route Optimization projects
Monitor Route performance through analysis of data from on-board computer
Review on-board computer data for Hours of Service problems and Safety violations
Give daily feedback to local management of safety issues, compliance problems, underperforming drivers, customer issues, etc.
Position Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain/Logistics or related field
1 – 2 years relevant experience
Effective communication skills – oral, written and presentation
Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently, demonstrating a sense of urgency and results orientation
Experience solving a variety problems that range from simple to more complex
Strong organizational skills
Strong Microsoft Office skills - Excel, Access, Word and PowerPoint
Must be able to work second shift hours (approximately 2:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m.) and schedule of Sunday through Thursday
