IT Supply Chain Business Analyst (ERP Solutions)
 

Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced IT Supply Chain Business Analyst to join our team, supporting the effective deployment and optimization of ERP solutions (preferably SAP) in the Logistics and Supply Chain domains. In this role, you will collaborate with business teams to enhance system functionalities, and contribute to process improvements that drive operational efficiency. This is a dynamic position that requires a combination of analytical skills, and a strong understanding of business operations. You will play a critical role in ensuring seamless system integration, system enhancements, and fostering user adoption across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
 
  • Business Requirement Gathering & Analysis: Collaborate with Business Process Owners (BPOs), Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), and cross-functional teams to gather and document detailed business requirements for system enhancements, new features, and major system changes. Ensure that business needs are accurately represented and prioritized in system configurations.
  • ERP Functional Design & Configuration: Contribute to the functional design and configuration of ERP solutions (preferably SAP) with a focus on system performance, efficiency, and enhancing user experience. Optimize workflows and data management in the supply chain and logistics modules of the system.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Conduct in-depth data analysis to support decision-making processes. Create and deliver reports that offer actionable insights into operational performance, supply chain efficiency, and system performance.
  • System Testing & Validation: Lead and execute testing activities for system changes, updates, and enhancements, ensuring that they meet both functional and technical requirements. Validate that all new configurations adhere to internal quality standards, functional specifications, and industry best practices.
  • System Integration & Collaboration: Collaborate closely with IT teams to manage system integrations, ensuring seamless data flow across multiple systems and applications. Coordinate with various stakeholders to mitigate integration issues and resolve system discrepancies.
  • Documentation & Knowledge Sharing: Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for system configurations, processes, workflows, and user guides to ensure accurate knowledge transfer. Support compliance efforts by ensuring all documentation aligns with regulatory standards and internal protocols.
  • End-User Training & Support: Contribute to the development and delivery of training programs for end-users, ensuring that new and updated system functionalities are well-understood and efficiently adopted. Provide ongoing support to users, addressing any questions or issues that arise.
  • Continuous Improvement & Innovation: Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies, proactively recommending innovative solutions and process improvements to enhance system capabilities and business performance.

Key Qualifications & Experience:
  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Advanced certifications in ERP systems (especially SAP) or supply chain management are a plus.
  • Relevant Experience: 2-5+ years of IT experience in a supply chain or logistics environment, with a proven track record in supporting ERP systems, preferably SAP. Experience in supporting logistics, inventory, procurement, and other supply chain-related modules is essential.
  • Business Process Understanding: Strong knowledge of end-to-end supply chain processes and how they integrate with various business systems. Experience in process mapping, optimization, and reengineering in an ERP context is beneficial.
  • Project Management & Methodologies: Familiarity with both Waterfall and Agile project management methodologies. Experience in participating in or leading ERP-related projects, including gathering requirements, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and managing timelines.
  • Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Exceptional analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data sets and translate findings into actionable business insights. Strong problem-solving abilities, particularly in identifying and addressing system inefficiencies.
  • Communication & Collaboration: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders. Strong collaboration skills, able to work effectively with business teams, IT staff, and third-party vendors.
  • Service Delivery & Support: Understanding of IT service management practices, including change management, incident management, and service delivery. Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality service in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proactive Learning & Development: A continuous learner with a keen interest in emerging technologies and trends in the supply chain and ERP space. Demonstrated ability to apply new knowledge and tools to enhance system performance and user experience.

Preferred Skills:
  • SAP certifications or equivalent ERP system certifications.
  • Experience with data analytics tools and reporting platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
  • Knowledge of supply chain management best practices and industry standards.
  • Experience in a hybrid work environment and managing distributed teams.
