Job Description

IT Program Analyst – Security Awareness

A collaborative and forward-thinking IT Communications team is looking for a Program Analyst to support and help evolve its cybersecurity awareness and phishing education program. This is a newly created role that will join a small but dedicated team focused on empowering employees to stay vigilant against cyber threats in engaging and creative ways.

About the Role:

As part of the Security Awareness team, you will take ownership of the day-to-day operations of the phishing simulation program, including coordination with third-party vendors, tracking and analyzing key metrics, and delivering data-driven insights through engaging visualizations. You’ll contribute to improving and potentially reimagining the current program — including evaluating new vendors and bringing a creative approach to awareness campaigns.

This role also offers the opportunity to support the writing and communication aspects of broader security awareness efforts. You’ll help translate important cybersecurity concepts into fun, digestible content that connects with employees across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the operations and continuous improvement of the phishing awareness program.

  • Coordinate with third-party phishing simulation vendors and help evaluate vendor performance and potential replacements.

  • Analyze campaign results and employee engagement data using Excel and similar tools.

  • Create compelling data visualizations and reports tailored to a range of audiences, including senior leadership.

  • Collaborate with teammates and cross-functional groups to align security awareness efforts with organizational goals.

  • Contribute to the development of creative, informative communications around cybersecurity topics — helping put a fun, engaging spin on a traditionally dry subject.

  • Help automate or streamline processes where possible, identifying opportunities for improved quality and service.

  • Track project milestones, meet deadlines, and adjust stakeholder expectations as needed.
Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of relevant experience in IT, cybersecurity, or communications.

  • Previous experience supporting a phishing or cybersecurity awareness program.

  • Strong data analysis skills using Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and chart creation.

  • Ability to translate complex data into visual stories for executive audiences.

  • Understanding of cybersecurity principles and IT best practices.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an interest in content creation or campaign messaging.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team setting.

  • High degree of discretion in handling sensitive information.
Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, IT, Communications, or a related field.

  • Experience managing or evaluating third-party security awareness or phishing vendors.

  • Familiarity with Excel Copilot or other AI-enhanced tools.

  • Experience coordinating across IT and business teams to deliver large-scale or time-sensitive initiatives.

  • A passion for security education — and a creative mindset for making complex topics engaging.
