Qualifications

•    Associate degree
•    Must have strong knowledge of one or more of the following: Windows Server, Linux, Storage and Backup, VMware
•    ServiceNow ticketing system knowledge preferred.
•    Certification Preferred: i.e. MCSA, RHEL, VMware, Dell, Comptia A+, Comptia Network+ and/or Cisco CCENT preferred.
•    Working/hands-on knowledge of infrastructure, operating systems, telecommunications networks, and specialized systems administration
•    Working knowledge of the definition, design and implementation of network communications and solutions
•    Knowledge of current administration tools and scripting languages
•    Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices and procedures within a particular field
•    Working knowledge of company software applications to diagnose and repair problems

Description

•    Maintains responsibility for all aspects of equipment, applications and/or systems administration, including implementation, configuration, coordination, control, maintenance, troubleshooting, testing, usage monitoring and the development of systems infrastructure within Infrastructure
•    Execute and establish Quality Assurance and Product testing standards to ensure final product meets the projects needs
•    RMA (return) defective equipment per vendor specifications
•    Decommissioning of network equipment
•    Configure network equipment via command line and GUI interfaces
•    Coordinates with appropriate team(s) to apply software updates.
•    Ensure the effective, secure and regulatory compliant operations and administration of complex infrastructure resources and consistent integrity of information.
•    Performs installations, upgrades, and may perform backups of software and hardware applications
•    Designs, writes, implements and performs backup and restore procedures, and monitors processes
•    Administers and maintains system stability
•    Troubleshoots software and hardware failures and identifies net problems
•    Installs new software releases and system upgrades, evaluates and installs patches, troubleshoots problems and performs system configurations on OS, platforms and devices
•    Monitors and manages systems and devices, including resource utilization, backup systems and response times, to maintain operating efficiency
•    Monitors systems (OS, platforms, and devices) configuration to ensure system stability, and maintains system documentation and logs
•    Ensures the effective, secure and regulatory compliant operation and administration of infrastructure resources, and consistent integrity of information
•    Provides hardware and software operations and maintenance support
•    Performs system backups and recovery
•    Provide support for Storage and Data Protection systems, perform file and system restores, and triage issues with storage related issues.
•    Expected to provide phone support, updating customers and vendors that call in, and providing top notch customer service to our customers.
•    Responsible for the server patching using a variety of tools including Satellite, Ivanti, and Tanium.
•    Support of the server infrastructure utilizing VMware, RDP, DNS, and Ops Bridge monitoring.
