Developer
The selected candidate should be able to help support our reporting platforms through development on in-house solutions. A strong mindset in business insights with a development background will help enable reporting through customized solutions and solve problems, while providing support in DevOps. Knowledge of industry standard applications and database theory will allow us to transform the business by optimizing our workflow and data processing to deliver data to the shop floor.
• Helping influence and implement an end-to-end vision for how production data can be presented within an analysis platform built in python
• Build and deploy datasets based on user requirements for visualization and reporting in multiple
visualization platforms, with a strong focus on quality and relational integrity
• Be able to provide a clear lineage of data used within a visualization, with documentation and organization
• Knowledgeable in DevOps, can support the team and build a solid deployment infrastructure
• Assist in building sprint schedules, assigning and completing support tickets, and bug trackers
• Experience working in QA
• Develop data visualizations and drive reporting solutions based on feedback from Engineers, PCIT
Developers and End Users needs
• Help our engineers and PCIT developers create data reports for business, gathering requirements
and investigating needs
• Will work with the manager, regional automation or process engineers depending on the site.
• 50% new development/50% maintenance.
Skill Set:
o Experience in managing and communicating complex projects and collaborating with cross functional teams to accomplish project goals within expected timelines.
o Knowledgeable on data governance concepts and implementation
o Python, Django frameworks
o Java
o DevOps
o SQL, MSSQL, NoSQL
o Data Modeling, relational integrity
RESTRICTED
o ETL experience with different ranges of technology
o Denodo/Data virtualization experience preferred
o Knowledgeable on deployment process flow concepts
o Tableau Server/Desktop/Prep setup and dashboard building
o Strong initiative, results orientation, and able to work independently with minimal direction.
o Demonstrated ability to see differing perspectives and work cross-functionally.
o This is a client facing role so good communication skills, written and verbal, is required.
o Education: Bachelors would be nice but is not required, associates with experience is acceptable.
Experience required is 4-6 years
