Job Description

Cloud Software / DevOps Engineer About the Role
We’re looking for a talented Cloud Software / DevOps Engineer to join a collaborative technology team in St. Louis. This role is hands-on and focuses on building, maintaining, and supporting cloud-based systems, CI/CD pipelines, and integrations that drive efficiency across multiple projects. You’ll work closely with developers, analysts, and stakeholders in an agile environment, helping translate complex technical challenges into reliable solutions.

This position is local-only and requires onsite presence at least three days per week, giving you the chance to collaborate closely with your team while still enjoying some flexibility.
RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design, develop, and troubleshoot software applications and cloud-based solutions.

  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate deployment, testing, and delivery.

  • Work with infrastructure as code tools like Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.

  • Manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.

  • Collaborate with other developers to implement integrations, APIs, and shared code libraries.

  • Support application performance monitoring, alerting, and troubleshooting.

  • Translate technical challenges and solutions for non-technical team members and stakeholders.

  • Participate in agile practices such as sprint planning, peer programming, and test-driven development.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field, or equivalent experience (2–5+ years for mid-level, 5+ for senior).

  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS or Azure).

  • Proven experience with CI/CD pipelines, container orchestration, and infrastructure automation.

  • Experience with source control systems (Git, Bitbucket).

  • Knowledge of monitoring, alerting, and dashboarding tools (e.g., Splunk, Prometheus).

Preferred:

  • AWS certification

  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.

  • Passion for mentoring others and sharing technical knowledge.

Soft Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and translate technical work for non-technical audiences.
