Job Overview:
We’re looking for an Infrastructure Cloud Engineer to help manage and improve our IT systems, including cloud services and virtualization technologies. You’ll be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining IT infrastructure, with a focus on Microsoft Azure, VMware, and server management. This is a hands-on role where you’ll work on both cloud and on-premises systems to ensure they run smoothly and securely.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, design, and implement IT infrastructure solutions to meet business needs, focusing on cloud services and virtualization. Ensure systems are scalable, available, and perform well.
Manage and maintain Azure cloud services (e.g., virtual machines, storage, networking). Monitor and optimize Azure resources for cost efficiency and performance. Apply security best practices for Azure resources.
Administer Linux and Windows servers, including setup and ongoing maintenance. Manage critical server services like Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP. Implement security measures to protect server environments.
Manage VMware vSphere infrastructure, including virtual machines and ESXi hosts. Optimize virtualized environments for better resource use and efficiency.
Set up and enforce security policies to protect infrastructure from threats. Perform security audits and ensure compliance with regulations. Respond to security incidents and resolve issues quickly.
Keep detailed records of system configurations and procedures. Provide support and training to other IT team members. Help lead technical projects and troubleshoot issues. Work with vendors and other teams to implement solutions at global locations. Be available for after-hours maintenance when needed.
Required Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Experience: 2-5 years managing IT infrastructure, especially with Microsoft Azure, VMware, and server administration.
Technical Skills:
Strong experience with Azure services, server management (Windows and Linux), and VMware vSphere.
Ability to troubleshoot and solve complex infrastructure problems.
Knowledge of cloud computing and IT security best practices.
Certifications (Preferred):
Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
VMware Certified Professional (VCP) or equivalent
Soft Skills:
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Good communication and teamwork abilities.
Flexibility to adapt to changing technologies and priorities.
Self-motivated and able to work independently.
