Event Management Engineer About the Position • Role focuses on supporting, expanding and maintaining the systems that provide Event Management within the company• Responsible for designing, building and maintaining Infrastructure Availability dashboards to include physical and virtual servers, storage, routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, databases, collaboration and end user computing applications• Assists with identifying and resolving monitoring gaps Key responsibilities include: • Coordinates complex software releases, system upgrades and patches with internal teams, and resolves complex problems• Plans, manages and forecasts system resources; evaluates and/or recommends purchases• Creates multiple internal tools and develops automation scripts• Leads development of tools and processes to support operations and administration of infrastructure• Engages stakeholders across business and leadership teams, with the goal of building integrated and automated solutions that match desired business outcomes• Collaborates with other departments to provide problem resolution and excellent service to user community, and helps set service level • Leads application of existing and emerging technologies to business problems to create practical solutions and efficiency opportunities• Coaches less experienced co-workers and provides feedback to enhance skills and knowledge Qualifications: • Detailed understanding of data center and network infrastructure components to include planning, design, implementation and troubleshooting• Relevant enterprise Event Management experience with OpenText ITOM Suit - OpsBridge, Network Operations Manager (NOM), Sitescope, Business Value Dashboard (BVD), Network Automation (NA), Vertica, Operations Orchestration (OO).• Bachelor's degree required, preferably in engineering, mathematics, computer science, or business. 7+ years of relevant experience
