Migrate data from various data systems to Cloud environments, organize data and establish or maintain links between datasets to facilitate future data mining
Perform data wrangling and data mining to establish best practices
Analyze data to extract key insights from various data sources for decision making and recommendations
Conduct data analysis with advanced metagenomic assembly and annotation methods
Use DevOps and Agile software development techniques to deliver on our mission to provide high-quality, complete, cloud-based datasets
Collaborate with stakeholders to achieve broader project goals
Qualification & Competencies
PhD degree in Microbiology, Genomics, Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Ecology or related quantitative disciplines,
Fully proficiency with Python, SQL and Linux and shell programming with 3+ years' experience
Experience working on AWS and Azure
Understanding of Database systems and management of large data sets
Knowledge of metagenomic methods and software
Great file organization and documentation skills
Experience and skill in communicating insights derived from data to both technical and non-technical personnel.
Ability to work independently with minimal technical supervision.
Preferred skills/Experience
Knowledge of GitHub for version control
Experience with PostgreSQL, Oracle SQL, and/or other relational database technologies
Basic data management and governance concepts
Experience developing interactive data visualization tool.
Execute responsibilities with knowledge, integrity, commitment, and excellence.
